Tournament Rules:


NO WARMUP MUSIC ALLOWED
 

We Strongly Advise Coaches to travel with Player Documents!

 

 **NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN UNLESS A TOURNAMENT OR A DIVISION DOES NOT MAKE**



 PLAYER ELIGBILITY: Teams must be able to provided birth certificates and report card for players. We go by AAU age and eligibility rules. A player may not play for 2 teams in the same age division! A player may play on 2 teams as long as it is in 2 DIFFERENT age brackets.
If there are any protests to the qualification of a player, the protest must be filed no less than thirty (30) minutes prior to the start of the game and the coach of the player in question shall provide the proper documentation. Protest fee is $100 CASH/ protest (1 player = $100, 2 players= $200, etc) and must be paid up front. For a protest that is upheld, the money will be refunded. If a protest is lost, the money is forfeited to the tournament and will be donated to our Charity of Choice. Coaches will have 30 minutes from the time they are notified either in person or by cell phone to provide the necessary documentation. Failure to provide proof of grade/age will result in the following:

1.)Player/s will not be allowed to play in any further games. 

2.) If player has played in any games those games will result in a forfeit of those games. **Any team that has a game if a forfeit will NOT be allowed to play in a championship game.** 

**If a protest is upheld AFTER seedings have been decided, the seeded game will result in a forfeit. Teams will NOT be reseeded. 
 Forfeits DO count as a game that is played.


** Protests must be turned in  30min BEFORE the start of a game. Protests are not player by player. You will be asked how many players you wish to prostest and be expected to provide $100 for each player UP FRONT ex: 2 players - a $200 fee will need to be paid UP FRONT before anything is moved forward with the protest. 5 players - $500 UP FRONT.  ***Not 1 at a time*** **


GAME CLOCK PLAYING TIMES:

2nd Grade - Two (2) 14min 
running clock Halves. Clock will stop only for time outs. Clock will stop in the last 2 minutes of the 2nd half for dead balls only if **Mercy Rule is not in affect.** 

3rd - 5th Grade - Two (2) 16min running clock Halves. Clock will stop only for time outs. Clock will stop in the last 2 minutes of the 2nd half for dead balls only if **Mercy Rule is not in affect.**

6th - 8th Grade - Two (2) 18min running clock Halves.
Clock will stop only for time outs. Clock will stop in the last 2 minutes of the 2nd half for dead balls only if **Mercy Rule is not in affect.**

High School - Two (2) 20min Running clock Halves.  Clock will stop only for time outs. Clock will stop in the last 2 minutes of the 2nd half for dead balls only if **Mercy Rule is not in affect.**

Time outs: 

Each team will have one (1) 30second time out and one (1) full timeout per half. Time outs do not carry over to the 2nd half.

BONUS FOULS: 

After 10 team fouls per half, two (2) foul shots will be awarded


Warm up:

 Pre game warm up will last 3 minutes. there will be NO DUNKING during warmups! NO WARM UP MUSIC OR SPEAKER BOXES ALLOWED ON COURTS!

Mercy Rule:

*If a team is ahead by 20 points or more the clock continues to run including the last 2 minutes of each half. *A team must cut the lead to 15 points before clock will stop*. ** Including inside the 2 minute mark**

Halftime will last 3 min


OVERTIME: 

  • 1st overtime will be 2 minutes running clock with one (1) 30 Second Time Out awarded to each team.
  •  2nd overtime will be a 2 minute running clock sudden death first team to score wins OR 2 minutes has expired with Zero (0) Time Outs Awarded. 
  • 3rd Overtime will be decided by a coin toss with the Possession Team Head Coach or Captain calling.

Mercy Rule Guidelines: No pressing or trapping defenses when this rule is applied. First offense is a warning, second offense will result in a two (2) shot technical. The clock WILL run through free throws but will stop for time-outs.


 

2 Certified officials will be used for each game.
BALL SIZE TO BE USED IS AS FOLLOWS:

28.5" FOR ALL GIRLS 2nd-12th

28.5” FOR BOYS GRADES 2ND - 6TH 

29.5" FOR BOYS GRADES 7TH - 12TH.


POINT DIFFERENCIAL RULE: Maximum point differential in pool play games will be +/- 15


TIE BREAKER: 1. Head to Head (unless more than two teams in the same pool have the same record)
2. Point differential (plus or minus 15 per game max). Ex: Team A's record is 1-1- Game 1 w53-21 (+15), Game 2 L45-40 (-5).. Their point difference is +10
3. Points allowed
4. Coin Toss.


Teams who do not play a game for any reason automatically forfeit their game with a -15 max loss as well as any chance at a Championship game!

*Any concerns about scheduling should be discussed with tournament director prior to entry into the tournament*

FREE THROWS:  

  • 4th grade and above: Starting above the low block, playing on release. *Shooter must not cross the line until rim contact*
  • 3rd grade and below: Starting above the low block, playing on release. **Shooters momentum may carry them across the free throw line BUT they may not make any effort towards ball until the ball touches the rim**

COACHES: A maximum of three (3) non-players will be allowed on the bench and will be provided a pass for the tournament. *These passes will be assigned to names filled out at registration and given to each individual upon entrance to event.* This can be any combination of scorekeepers and coaches that are filled out at registration.  **Fans will not be allowed to sit on the bench for any reason. Coaching wristbands will be different color than spectator wristbands**. The head coach is responsible for his bench, players and the actions of team fans. 

**IF THERE ARE NOT 3 COACHES FILLED OUT AT REGISTRATIONM THERE WILL NOT BE 3 BANDS! ONLY COACHES THAT ARE FILLED OUT ON THE REGISTRATION FORM WILL BE GIVEN COACHES BANDS**


The head coach is responsible for checking in with our tournament staff at check in table to take prior to first scheduled game.


**No staff member or official will address game issues with parents or fans. If parents have issues they will need to discuss them with their head coach and the head coaches will address any issues with Tournament Director or Court Supervisors.**
 

TEAM SCOREKEEPER/GAME BALL:
Visitor team will provide game ball unless agreed upon by both teams
Home team will be the official book. The visitor team's scorekeeper may sit at the sorer table and is advised to do so, if there is room. If there is a question relative to score or fouls the head coach may approach the table and ask for a horn at the next dead ball. Home Scorebook is official Score, NOT THE SCOREBOARD! The game officials shall have final ruling
*There will be no yelling or coaching from the scorer's table.*
Home team is listed first or on top of the bracket, if bracket play, and will wear white or their light-colored uniform unless agreed upon with coaches.

SPECTATORS:
Spectators will need to pay for tournament admission at the gate prior to entering gym/facility. Wristbands must be worn for duration of the tournament, and shown to gate staff when entering the tournament, if spectators remove the wristbands and try to enter tournament location without wristband, they will have to pay admission fee again.
 
At C&C Sporting Events Spectator, Player, Coach, and Referee Safety is our first priority.  If a spectator enters the court for any reason during a game, they will be asked to leave the facility for the remainder of the tournament with no refund and no exceptions. If a child enters the court unsupervised for any reason, the parent along with the child will be asked to leave the facility with no refund and no exceptions. 
 
 
**Coaches Only will be allowed to bring in Basketballs** 
 
*No dribbling or passing of basketballs for any reason will be allowed off of game courts*

First Offense will be a warning
2nd Offense will be removal of ball from players/fans and only given back to HEAD COACH of team- **Not Parents. **
If players refuse to abide by the rules and are disrespectful to C&C Staff, Tournament Director will speak Only to Head Coach about Offenses and may result in Removal of players for games. 

** C&C Staff will be available to discuss Direction to courts, game times, and safety issues ONLY with Fans **

**Coaches: It is your responsibility to pass this information along to your fans** 


TECHNICAL FOULS and EJECTIONS:
Any Coach receiving the first Technical Foul shall have to remain seated for the duration of the game. Any Coach/Player receiving 2 Technical Fouls in 1 game will be ejected.
Any ejections of coaches, players or bench personnel will result in removal from facility for the remainder of that game and must sit out the following game as well. *They may enter the facility after the conclusion of the game they were ejected from upon discussion with the Tournament Director and approval. 

Fighting is unaaceptable and WILL NOT be tolerated! C&C Sporting Events will have a ZERO tolerance rule for fighting. If a player or coach is Ejected from a game due to fighting, they will AUTOMATICALLY be removed from the facility for the remainder of the tournament *WITH NO EXCEPTIONS.*


If a fan is removed from a game for fighting OR unruly behavior with language or threats, they will be removed from the facility WITH NO REFUND and will not be allowed back into the facility WITH NO EXCEPTION. 
 **ALONG WITH THEIR SON OR DAUGHTER that may be a player**  

This is for OUR safety for those fans not to have any reason to try and re-enter the facility!!

DURING TIMEOUTS OR HALFTIME SPECTATORS OR OTHER TEAMS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO SHOOT ON ANY COURTS!!
